Alessia Centioni
Founder & CEO
Alessia Centioni is Spiral Studio's founder and CEO. With over 15 years of experience at the heart of EU decision-making within the European Parliament, she has worked on some of the Union's most strategic policy areas, including internal market, industry, trade, and defence, combining deep institutional knowledge with a strong political vision and a broad international network.
In 2025, she founded Spiral Studio, a Brussels-based consultancy born from her desire to connect strategy, communication, and impact. Through Spiral Studio, she supports institutions, organisations, and companies in understanding public opinion, shaping narratives, and building constructive relationships with decision-makers. Guided by competence, experience and vision, Alessia continues to work at the intersection of politics, communication and regulatory affairs to turn ambition into lasting change. She is a native Italian speaker, fluent in English and French.

Dr. Laura Caroli
Partner
Dr. Laura Caroli is a leading expert on AI governance and regulation, known for translating complex policy into real-world impact at the highest levels of international decision-making.
Holding a PhD from the University of Trieste, Dr. Caroli spent over a decade as Senior Policy Advisor at the European Parliament, where she became a defining force behind the EU AI Act, leading technical negotiations.
She has since joined the Wadhwani AI Center at CSIS in Washington, D.C. as Senior Fellow, where she drove research and strategy on AI governance frameworks, regulatory trends, and transatlantic policy alignment, bridging the priorities of Europe and the United States at a pivotal moment for global AI policy.
A sought-after voice in international forums, Dr. Caroli has contributed to high-level debates in US, Asia and across Europe on the responsible and effective governance of artificial intelligence. She currently sits on CEN/CENELEC JTC21, the key European standardization committee for AI, bringing rare, practitioner-level insight into the technical processes that will define how AI is built and deployed across the continent.
Beyond her policy work, Dr. Caroli is a committed advocate for women's rights in public life. She co-founded the European Women Alliance, where she serves as vice-president and champions greater representation of women in positions of influence.
